Solving World Problems
Today I read a single edition of a major newspaper, where I read about our problems with:
- COVID-19 and people’s failure to vaccinate
- Conflict between factions in the government
- Racism
- Opioid addiction
- Entitled children
- Sexual abuse
- Governmental oppression of citizens across the globe
- Arson destroying dozens of churches in Canada
- Corporate dishonesty on a grand scale
As always, there was a tone of victimhood, and “Oh my, what will we do about this? But first, who can we blame?” And the proposed solutions for each problem were all different.
The Underlying Problem that Unites the Symptoms
Now imagine that a patient arrives in the doctor’s office, and he demonstrates:
- Bleeding gums
- Skin wounds that don’t heal
- Tooth loss
- Mouth and rectal bleeding
- Early bleeding in the brain
- Muscle and bone pain
- Anemia
- Shortness of breath
- Swelling of the legs
We might be tempted to clean his teeth, clean and bandage his wounds repeatedly, perform oral surgery for dental implants, do a colonoscopy, cauterize the mouth bleeding, operate on the brain, administer narcotics for the pain, do a blood transfusion, administer oxygen, and give diuretics for the swelling of the legs.
We could do all that, and the symptoms might lessen briefly, but they would just keep reappearing. They would, in fact, worsen until the patient died.
OR
We could look for the underlying problem that unites all these symptoms, and treat THAT. This patient has scurvy, the lack of a single molecule, Vitamin C, which is readily and inexpensively available. With proper administration of this oral supplement, all the symptoms would disappear in a relatively short period of time. All a result of the correct diagnosis.
Hundreds of years ago, millions of people died for lack of Vitamin C. To allow that to repeat in our day would be seriously negligent to the point of foolishness. And yet we are just that foolish when it comes to the world problems listed above. They are ALL united by the underlying condition of insufficient unconditional love, which was not administered in childhood by nearly all the world’s parents.
Solving World Problems with Unconditional Love
If people were loving and selfless, every problem listed above would be vastly reduced, or—in most cases—they would vanish entirely. People who feel unconditionally love NEVER use narcotics recreationally, for example, nor do they sexually abuse other people. And this miracle results naturally from regular doses of love.
Moreover, none of these world problems can be solved WITHOUT love. We can enact legislation, and organize marches, and scream bloody murder about racism—to choose just one example—and none of that will make PEOPLE more loving, and racism is nothing more than people being unloving.
So why are we doing nothing about this? Because we haven’t personally seen and felt this love. We haven’t learned how to give it.
It’s time that we did, and this Parenting Training is one way to begin the lifesaving—world saving—process.
